  • Do I need any experience to join GB1?

    Absolutely not. GB1 is specifically designed for complete beginners with no prior martial arts experience.

  • What should I wear to my first class?

    For your trial, wear comfortable athletic clothing. We provide loaner gis. After joining, you'll need an official Gracie Barra gi.

  • How long before I move to GB2?

    Typically 6-12 months, depending on your training frequency and progress. You'll need your 3rd stripe on your white belt.

  • Is there sparring in GB1?

    GB1 focuses on technique drilling with cooperative partners. Live sparring is introduced gradually as you progress.
