LC1 Little Champions
Our youngest students learn fundamental movement patterns, coordination and basic Jiu-Jitsu concepts through games and structured activities — confidence and fun first.
Building Strong Foundations
LC1 is designed around how 5- and 6-year-olds actually learn — short bursts of focus, lots of movement, and clear, simple games that build coordination without feeling like drills.
Every class is run by an ICP-certified, Blue Card-cleared instructor. Parents are welcome to watch from the viewing area at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is my 5-year-old ready for martial arts?
If they can separate from parents and follow basic instructions, they're usually ready. LC1 is designed for this age group with age-appropriate activities.
What will my child learn?
LC1 focuses on motor skills, coordination and basic body awareness through games. Formal techniques come later — first, we build the foundation.
How long are LC1 classes?
Classes are 35-40 minutes, the perfect attention span for this age group. Longer classes would be counterproductive.
What should my child wear?
Comfortable athletic clothing for the first class. We provide loaner gis for trials. After joining, an official Gracie Barra kids gi is required.
